About Bright Beginnings

Sharon Brown Owner / Operator
Bright Beginnings serves families moving into Rocklin, Loomis, Roseville, Granite Bay and Lincoln, ultimately delivering to 350-400 new residents each month in these areas. The packets consist of city and county information that is designed to acquaint the new resident with the resources in their community, as well as generous gift certificates from the local business community.
New residents typically receive complimentary gift certificates for a FREE pizza, FREE car wash, FREE haircut, FREE veterinarian Exam, FREE dental exam and many more. It is “win-win-win” for the community, the businesses and the new resident.
About Sharon Brown
Sharon started Bright Beginnings Welcoming Service in 1994 after moving to Rocklin from Southern California. After many years in retail management for major corporations, she resolved that she would help make a difference by helping new move-ins acclimate to their new location. This was something she could identify with as she had made many moves herself as her father was in the USAF for 29 years.
Bright Beginnings was awarded the 2003 Home Based Business of the Year by the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and in 2004 was named Rocklin's Business of the Year. Sharon believes in being involved in community volunteerism and has been named Roseville's Volunteer of the Year twice: in 1997 and 2004 by the Roseville Chamber of Commerce. She was awarded Rocklin's Ambassador of the Year in 1996, and in 2002 was awarded Roseville's Ambassador of the Year. Sharon is the recipient of the prestigious 2003 Athena Award. Most recently Sharon was awarded the Edward M Friedman Community Service Award in January 2011.
She has served on the Roseville & Rocklin's Chamber Board of Directors, the Roseville Arts! Board of Directors, and the Sierra College Foundation Board. She currently serves on the Placer S.P.C.A. Board of Directors.
New residents typically receive complimentary gift certificates for a FREE pizza, FREE car wash, FREE haircut, FREE veterinarian Exam, FREE dental exam and many more. It is “win-win-win” for the community, the businesses and the new resident.
